Saliva is a window into our oral health status. Since our saliva contains protective, destructive and diagnostic components, testing is beneficial in caries and periodontal risk diagnosis. Recognizing the markers can assist in developing preventive and restorative treatment plans. Salivary diagnosis is the gateway to effective patient education and provides valuable insight into patient oral and overall health. This CE webinar will cover the current and historical research around salivary diagnosis as well as suggestions for treatment planning and patient education to reduce disease risk.
